Stir-Fried Beef and Potatoes (Thit Bo Xao Khoai Tay)

Sharing a recipe for Viet-style steak and potatoes. This is an easy dish you can make in 30 minutes or less. Check out my short cut ingredient which cuts the prep time in half.

Pro Smart Slicer (Mandolin) with 4 Rotating Blades



Meat and Marinade:
3/4 lb beef (flank or sirloin)
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp fish sauce
1 tsp oyster sauce
1 tsp vegetable oil
1/8 tsp ground black pepper

3 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp oyster sauce
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp cornstarch

1 Tbsp vegetable oil (for cooking potatoes)
3 medium potatoes or
1 1/2 lbs frozen French fried potatoes
1 tsp vegetable oil (for stir-fry)
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1/2 medium red onion
1 green onion

Yields: 4 servings

350 g thịt bò (Flank or sirloin)
½ m. cà phê tỏi bằm
½ m. cà phê nước mắm
1 m. cà phê dầu hào
1 m. cà phê dầu ăn
1/8 m. cà phê tiêu xay

3 m. canh nước
1 m. canh dầu hào
1 m. canh xì dầu
1 m. cà phê đường
½ m. cà phê bột bắp

1 m. canh dầu ăn để chiên khoai
3 củ khoai tây vừa, hay 675 g khoai tây chiên đông lạnh
1 tsp dầu ăn để xào
½ m. cà phê tỏi bằm
½ củ hành tây đỏ
1 tép hành lá

Cho: 4 phần ăn

  1. Cảm ơn Chef, ur tutorial lesson less then5', love it; for my personal preference i excluded oyster sauce(under category of process food)… if you pls create homemade sauce that similar to oyster sauce that would be an honor to learn & promise to give u credit if ask 🙂
